The Case Files
The case files listed below include languages that we have some information for or languages that we anticipate we will soon have information for. Most, if not all of the languages listed below are entered in the database or soon will be. However, even languages that we have considerable data for have less than all the features we would like to include. The status of each file is described in the 'About This Case File' section on each case file page. Information about where the language is spoken and the number of speakers, etc., is available by clicking on the Ethnologue link. Specific information about the native speaker's dialect or regional variant, other languages spoken and so forth are to be found in the static AQ response or (sometimes in less detail) on the 'browse' page in the database under 'language consultant'. About This Case File: This file has gone through follow-up elicitation and both a Grammar Sketch (Adesola, 2005) and a very brief anaphora sketch (Adesola and Safir, 2005) are available for it. There is a glitch in the static (.pdf) AQR: The tones on the 'i' are slightly misaligned. An additional glitch involves a character which displays as a square, although only twice in the whole AQR. The elicitation document employed is AQ 2.1, and so some of the additions introduced in AQ 2.2 were not elicited. The data has been entered into the Anaphora Database, although glossing is not up to our 2011 standard. At this writing, we do not anticipate revisions of the AQR or new database entries in the near future, although we may bring the database information up to 2011 glossing standards.

Urhobo
About This Case File: This file has gone through follow-up and the Anaphora Sketch (Aziza and Safir, 2005) has been written for it. The AQR was revised in November, 2008. At present, all tones are missing for it, though in most instances, all four example fields are filled. The anaphora sketch needs some revision, but this will not happen soon. The contents of the AQR have been entered into the Anaphora Database.

KiNande
About This Case File: This file is extensive, collected in different sessions over many years. The AQR was collected in 2006, the data was entered into the database in 2007 and the Anaphora Sketch (Mutaka and Safir), not so carefully edited, was also completed in (2007). There is also a Grammar Sketch (Mutaka, 2007) as well as a translated folktale. A special feature of this case file is the Kinande/English dictionary, last version 2011, prepared independently of the Afranaph Proect by Philip Ngessimo Mutaka and Kambale Kavutirwaki, which is posted here. The 'original text' line is missing in the Afranaph Database and in the AQR. The elicitation document employed was AQ2.1 and so some of the additions introduced in AQ2.2 were not elicited. The analytic entity information in the Afranaph Portal needs further updating. Glossing in AQR and in the database are not up to current standards. There is also a CCQR, not currently posted in .pdf form, that has been entered into the database in 2017. There were revisions to it in 2023 that have not been displayed here. The analytic entities in the Clausal Complementation database portal also need to be updated and this may be addressed by 2024.
In February of 2020, just before the pandemic, Dr. Mutaka visited Rutgers and many additional elicitations took place (with the participation of Mark Baker, Hazel Mitchley, Lydia Newkirk, and Ken Safir). The .pdfs from these elicitations, along with subsequent followup examples and discussion are listed below (or soon will be). All of these data have been entered into the Afranaph Database or will soon be. Analytic entities in the two portals mentioned above will also need updating.
