Nsenga people are basically subsistence farmers - they eat what they grow. When a visitor visits, usually an entire village sends them off upon their return (hence this group by the roadside).

About This Case File: This file has gone through preliminary follow-up elicitation for the AQR, which is posted, but no anaphora sketch is written for it yet. The ‘original text’ line is missing for most examples. There is a glitch in the static (.pdf) AQ response: The tones on the 'i' are slightly misaligned. Most examples in the static AQ response include a literal translation line between the gloss and the actual translation. At this writing, we expect aspects of the AQ response to be revised in the future, and thus further entries into the database may be anticipated.
About This Case File: This AQR was collected early in our project and does not conform to our later glossing standards.
