Igbo Case File Consultant
Ferdinand Duru is currently pursuing his PhD in the Department of Linguistics at Georgetown University in the United States. He earned his master's degree in Linguistics from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria, and his bachelor's degree in Linguistics and Igbo from the University of Benin, Nigeria. Prior to his doctoral studies, Ferdinand taught for eight years in the Department of Linguistics Studies at the University of Benin. His research interests include Morphology and Syntax, Syntax, and Semantics interface, and language documentation. He is a native speaker of the Igbo language.
Tupuri
The Tupuri Case File
About This Case File: The Tupuri data was elicited using the French language Anaphora Questionnaire and the result, after follow-up, was translated into English by Deen Mamadou-Yacoubou. Mamadou-Yacoubou and Hanna Sande translated the PI’s correspondence with Djakode Noumga, the consultant for this AQR. The data has not yet been entered into the database at this time, though we expect it to be entered soon.

(1) Yaya Yodoma is a professional French-English Translator and Interpreter in Benin. He is a native speaker of Baatɔnum (speaks the Goro dialect). Yaya completed his undergraduate studies in English, with a focus on African Studies at the University of Abomey-Calavi in Benin and a Master's Degree in Law at the same University.
(2) Tajudeen Mamadou Yacoubou is a PhD Candidate in Linguistics at Rutgers University. His main interests are in Phonology and Phonetics of tone and intonation; and the computational approaches to phonological processes involving tone and intonation. Tajudeen, who acquired Baatɔnum around age 6
is a near native speaker of it and was involved in the data collection as a linguist consultant, working hand in hand with Yaya Yodoma.
Kihehe
The Kihehe Case File
About This Case File: The AQR is complete and work is underway on an anaphora sketch. The data from the AQR has been entered into the database along with the analytic entities, which are the beginning of our analysis.

Kihehe Case File Consultant
Lengson Ngwasi is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Foreign Languages and Linguistics University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He is currently pursuing a PhD in linguistics at Gothenburg University, Sweden. He is interested in the morphosyntax of Tanzanian Bantu languages, specifically on the Multiple Functions of Reflexive Prefixes, the topic of his PhD project. Before his PhD project, he worked on Reflexive Marking in Kihehe for his Master’s degree in 2016. He is a native speaker of Kihehe, and Kihehe language consultant for the Afranaph project.
Muyang
About This Case File: Both the AQR and CCQR are posted and the sentences are entered into the database. Analytic entities are entered for the Anaphora Portal, but analytic entity information for the Clausal Complementation portal are incomplete. Work on an anaphora sketch is in (slow) progress.

Muyang Case File Consultant
A former student of Teacher Higher Training College Yaounde, Théodore Bebey is a holder of B.A in French and English literature and linguistics. He defended his PhD thesis entitled «The Cartographic Syntax of Muyang: a Chadic Language Spoken in Northern Cameroon» in 2015 after his M.A on «The Movement of Wh-phrases» in the same language in the University of Yaounde 1. He has been teaching French grammar, pedagogy and African linguistics part-time in the University of Douala, then in Teacher Higher Training School Bertoua and in the Department of African Languages and Cultures of the University of Maroua. His research interests are syntactic theories, phonology, lexicology, language management and pedagogy. He is the author of six articles on the syntax of Chadic languages and language planning.
